REPRESENTING A BROAD RANGE OF CLIENTS

The members of the firm have a broad base of experience in a number of practice areas.

ELIZABETH A. GERMANI has extensive experience in insurance defense work and business and hospital representation including advising on insurance coverage, risk management, contract, confidentiality and patient care issues, and assisting with peer review and other internal investigations. She specializes in litigation, and has represented a variety of clients, including product manufacturers and distributors, insurance companies, construction companies, landscapers, trades people, hospitals, nurses, doctors and lawyers. She practices in all of the state and federal courts in Maine and New Hampshire, and before the state boards in Maine. Liz also spends a substantial amount of time serving as a mediator and arbitrator in various types of civil disputes.

JAMES F. MARTEMUCCI is a trial lawyer representing individuals and businesses in both civil and criminal matters. He specializes in representing hospitals, medical professionals and nursing homes. Jim has successfully tried many cases in state and federal courts as well as before administrative bodies, including medical malpractice screening panels. Jim also represents clients in complex litigation matters, business disputes, criminal defense, construction litigation, and employment matters. He is licensed to practice law in Maine, New York and New Jersey.

JENNIFER S. RIGGLE, was born and raised in New Jersey, then moved to Maine where she attended Bates College and the University of Maine School of Law.

In 1994, Jennifer earned a Masters degree in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. The focus of her practice involves health care and business-related matters, including representation of individuals, start-up businesses, established corporations and health care facilities in transactions, risk management and business litigation. Areas of particular expertise include insurance and reinsurance, licensing, peer review, contracts, health care regulatory matters (such as HIPAA, corporate compliance, billing and recordkeeping) insurance coverage (CGL and professional liability policies), corporate structuring, and employment law.

TRACY D. HILL has extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation, focusing upon the representation of national and international manufacturers in product liability litigation. In addition, Tracy has represented individual clients in a wide variety of litigated matters, including personal injury, shareholder disputes, commercial disputes, attorney negligence and premises liability. She practices in all of the state and federal courts in Maine and New Hampshire.

L. JOHN TOPCHIK has extensive jury and bench trial experience. He handles most types of civil litigation, including concentrating on medical and professional negligence, product liability law, construction law, personal injury and family law. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and is admitted to the state and federal courts in Maine.

JON C. GALE has extensive experience in criminal defense work, including drug crimes, juvenile crimes, traffic violations, and OUI/DWI. He also has experience in general civil litigation, family law, personal injury, and disability claims. Jon has worked as an Assistant District Attorney in both Aroostook and York Counties in Maine. He is licensed to practice in Maine, and is a member of the Maine State Bar Association.

BLAIR A. JONES is a skilled trial lawyer with substantial trial experience in Federal and State Courts in many jurisdictions throughout the country. In law school, Blair was honored with the Robert E. Jones Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, awarded each year to the outstanding law student trial advocate. Blair started his legal career in Kansas as a Public Defender where he cut his teeth trying felony criminal cases on behalf of indigent clients. He later worked in private practice in Kansas before moving to Maine in 1996. Blair has developed his exceptional trial skills and applies them in cases involving products liability, transportation, premises liability, construction litigation, property and liability insurance litigation. Over the years, Blair has developed an expertise in trucking litigation and is a past Chair of the Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee of the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the ABA. Blair is acknowledged as a passionate and creative advocate who is at home in the courtroom.

AMANDA B. LYNCH is an associate at Germani Martemucci Riggle & Hill. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Providence College in 1997, and her Master's Degree in Education from Boston University in 1999. She graduated from the University of Maine School of Law cum laude in 2005. In law school, Amanda was an editor for the Maine Law Review. Since becoming associated with this firm, Amanda's experience is in general litigation, as well as in handling corporate, business and insurance-related licensing and regulatory matters. Amanda is licensed to practice in Maine, and is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

DAVID F. CONLEY is an established tax, business and estate planning lawyer, who served as a law clerk with the United States Tax Court, and as an attorney advisor for the IRS, Office of Chief Counsel in Washington D.C. A former partner for over 20 years with one of New Hampshire's largest firms, Dave has extensive experience counseling individuals, publicly-traded corporations, family businesses, law and accounting firms, health care facilities and other entities in tax, financial planning, real estate and business matters. He is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire, Maine, Arizona, and the District of Columbia. David provides of-counsel services to the firm, while maintaining his own practice in New Hampshire.
